Total cost as defined in this survey combines the transfer fee charged by the provider and the exchange-rate margin applied to the transaction, both expressed together as a percentage of the USD 200 send amount.
Across the 21 providers surveyed in that same 2024 Q3 snapshot, total costs ranged from a low of 2.00% to a high of 10.40%. The cheapest surveyed option at the time of the 2024 Q3 data collection was Jet Peru, at 2.00% total cost. This reflects only what was recorded during that specific survey period and may not reflect current pricing, as provider fees and exchange-rate margins can change between survey cycles.
Costs within this corridor can also differ depending on the payment method used, such as bank account or debit card, and the payout method available to the recipient.
